Thrasher Magazine started in 1981 and is still regarded as the most successful and longest-running skate magazine ever. Expanding on to digital media and merchandising Thrasher has experienced rapid growth, housing more than 250,000 readers on its print and digital media. Through partnerships with companies like adidas and Vans, Thrasher's legacy keeps growing. Thrasher is still regarded as a legendary brand that continues to document the development of skate culture from the viewpoint of skaters, enhanced by the artistic legacy of the late Jake Phelps. The "skategoat" pentagram emblem and the recognisable Thrasher logo, with or without flames, have become mainstays in the skate scene.
